After twelve days of protest, students of TUI rose yesterday the hunger strike started by the expulsion of Lina Sofía Durán, who is credited with the closure of the university 2009.
This came after the application of hundreds of young people who gathered yesterday at a meeting, which decided to march through the city to ask the Governor of Santander, Horacio Serpa Uribe, to convene a meeting to discuss issues such as presence of paramilitaries in the alma mater.
He did know one of the promoters of the initiative, Estupiñán Germain, who explained that the goal is to be public forum attended by members of the Board of Governors.
